Wreck On 74 West

DSC_5289A three vehicle accident occurred around 5:45 pm this afternoon on Highway 74 West.

Kendra Nash of 4473 Highway 74 was traveling westbound in a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and attempted to turn left into the driveway of her home.

Nash pulled into the path of a 2002 Toyota Tacoma pickup traveling eastbound driven by 42 year old
Stacy Becerra of Pitts Drive.

The third vehicle involved, a 2006 BMW X-3 driven by 18 year old Haley Hirsh of Macon was traveling westbound when the Grand Cherokee was knocked into her path by the impact.

DSC_5288Kendra Nash suffered an injured ankle but refused transport by Upson EMS, a passenger and an infant in the vehicle were not injured. Becerra was alone in the pickup and was not injured although the airbag did deploy.

Hirsh is a student at Auburn University and was on her way to school, her father was a passenger in the BMW and was not injured.

The Thurston Fire Department, Upson County Sheriff’s Department and the Georgia State Patrol responded to the accident.
